The task was to develop a maximum of south facing apartments on a complex sloping terrain, while minimizing excavation mass. A terraced housing typology was chosen, that mimics the surface of the underlying soil through its stepped foundation. Close cooperation between the client, the architect and engineers, was intrinsic from an early stage for succesful infrastructure integration.
